The Krasl Art Center’s Members’ Show: Local Icons honors the creative talents of Krasl Art Center members. This year, the exhibition applies the theme of local icons to highlight the people, places and things that are important to participating artists. Additionally, KAC faculty member Josh Mason will facilitate a collaborative art project open to community participation in the artlab gallery.
The public is invited to work with Josh in the artlab for a hands-on studio night Thursday, September 18 beginning at 7 pm. An opening party celebrating the premiere of both exhibitions will be held Friday, September 19 from 6 to 8 pm at the Krasl Art Center. Select artists will speak about the art on view, small bites and wine from Lemon Creek and beer from Tapistry will be served. Both exhibitions remain on view September 19 – November 2, 2014 and are free and open to the public.

It’s Your Turn! with Josh Mason
Local artist and KAC faculty member Josh Mason facilitates a creative and collaborative experience in the artlab that fuses his own philosophical concerns with moments of artistic engagement and participation. Mason states, “It is fitting that the name of this installation should be It’s Your Turn since not only do we all build the installation, everyday we all add to the debris of history (anthropocene).”
