Joining a Harbor Country Chamber of Commerce committee is a great way to help your business to thrive. Committees are a great way to learn and network but best of all it’s a great way to offer your knowledge and experience, to make your Chamber and more importantly your community a better place to live work and play. Remember others blazed the trail behind you. Just like your-self they were doers who gave their time energy and talent to benefit this great area we call home. MARKETING:
To plan, develop, direct and evaluate marketing strategies, techniques and resources for the promotion (tourism & commerce) of the Harbor Country Chamber of Commerce, its Members, Affiliates, and trademarked geographic region.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND GOVERNMENT RELATIONS:
Acts as a watchdog for the best interests of Harbor Country’s economic growth while maintaining a working partnership with local government.
MEMBERSHIP:
Responsible for membership growth and making members aware of all the services the Chamber offers.
PARTNERSHIP IN EDUCATION FOR TOMORROW (PET):
Maintains a relationship with our schools to promote a qualified employee base and build a future through scholarship.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT:
Charged with the responsibility of promoting Harbor Country’s quality of life through signage, beautification programs and support for community events.
INTERNET & TECHNOLOGY:
Maintains the standards of and sets policy for the Chamber web site. Researches new and emerging technologies, best practices, and internet visitor preferences. Participates in the Chamber Board as advisor on web trends and Internet marketing opportunities.
GUIDE COMMITTEE:
Coordinates the design, editorial and distribution of the Chamber’s annual tourism publication.
AMBASSADORS:
The mission of the Ambassador Program is to enhance the Chamber’s visibility and act as a goodwill arm of the Chamber.
