The
Harbor Country Chamber was formed in 1981 to
serve this remarkably unique lakeshore region and its eight quaint
towns, Michiana, Grand Beach,
New Buffalo, Three Oaks, Union Pier, Lakeside, Harbert and Sawyer,
collectively known as Harbor Country®.
Mission
The Harbor Country's mission is to serve these eight communities
in the areas of business commerce, economic development, tourism,
and to promote the area as an ideal place to live, work and play.
Become
a Chamber Member
As a Chamber of Commerce member, the friendly and courteous staff
can provide you with referrals to other member services and products,
and will display your brochures and business information for other
members and our visitors. The
Harbor Country Chamber of Commerce office is located in the New
Buffalo Railroad Museum at 530 S. Whittaker Street, New Buffalo,
Michigan. The Museum, which opened in 1990, is a replica of the
original Pere Marquette Railroad Station.
Chamber membership benefits your business through participation
and involvement in community commerce. The collaborative efforts
of Chamber members will give your business first hand information
about economic development, events, community activities, and business
decisions.
Through
this association, you will also be networked with other members,
and recognized for referrals to your business products or services.
Members are invited to join our regular Chamber "Mixer with
a twist of Business" social events where you can meet other
members, exchange ideas, information, and let others know about
your business.
Membership in the Chamber is primarily intended for businesses within
the official Harbor Country region.
However, we welcome businesses in neighboring communities to become
members with some restrictions.
