Bruce Wood
Formerly an avant-garde film maker whose works were featured at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London and The Museum of Modern Art (Beaubourg) in Paris, Bruce Wood is now known for his energetic landscape paintings. Prints and paintings by Mr. Wood are in the collections of the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris, and the Rockford Art Museum, Illinois. Mr. Wood studied at Massachusetts College of Art where he received a bachelor’s of fine arts and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from which he holds a master’s of fine arts degree. A native of Boston, MA, Mr. Wood now lives and works in Lakeside, MI, where he is currently the Master Printer at AFA Press, a publisher and printer of original fine art print editions. Other works by the artist can be seen at Fenway Gallery in Lakeside and Chicago. The title of the of the painting reproduced on our cover is “Summer Friends.”
