Wine expert Rick Cooper and Museum Board member Nick Bogert present an entertaining look at how winemaking began and evolved in the area. Learn what local winemaking business used POW's to produce its product, how Michigan slipped badly in wine production in the 1960's, how the current boom in viniculture took root, and some predictions for the future of winemaking in the area. Local vintners will provide samples of their product for you to sip as you listen. This event will be held at Cafe Gulistan Restaurant in Harbert, the site of the tasting room for the old Molly Pitcher Winery.
